The sale appears to be over. The product page is back up with the old $529 price. You might be able to score it for $264.50, but you'll be hard pressed to even find one left.
It appears the website is slow and the product page has been removed. Ring your local stores (primarily Power House) to check that they will honour the price for product number YG1172. Screenshot here.
In what can only be explained as an effort to sell off unwanted stock Dick Smith Electronics and Power House stores are selling the Halo edition Xbox 360, which is essentially a Pro console for $264.50 which is close to the price of an Arcade console. Plenty of stores still have stock, but expect these babies to begin flying off the shelves soon.
Special thanks to Mutilated from Xbox World for the information.

Check out our Crisis Core Price Round-Up to find out the best deals are for this game.
For 10 years now, Square Enix has had the privilege of being the
creators of what many consider to be the greatest RPG of all time in
Final Fantasy VII. Since then, this once stand alone title has been
fleshed out into an entire new series with feature movies and spin-off
games. While these additions to the story have been met with mixed
reviews, Crisis Core is next in line to milk the lifestream for all its
worth.

Reader sagara0510 submitted a very helpful hint for those with problems obtaining the Metal Gear Solid 4 Playstation 3 bundle for $749. EB Games currently have a PS3 bundle that includes Assassin's Creed, Need For Speed ProStreet and HDMI cables for the same price. After buying that deal you can then trade in both Assassin's Creed and Need For Speed at JB Hi-Fi to get Metal Gear Solid 4 for free. With this method you also end up with a bonus set of HDMI cables.
Special thanks to sagara0510 for the submission.

The Weekly Haul is a simple new weekly article at Economical Gamer that asks you what you scored during the week. Mostly for video games and related items we want to know what you got, where you got it, why you bought it and most importantly how much you paid.
This is our first Weekly Haul. The discussions will take place in our forum thread, if you prefer the Weekly Haul take place in the comments for the article instead please let us know. Also let us know what you think about this small little idea to brighten up otherwise dull Sunday news.
