What is the rarest game you own? Bragging rights up for grabs

Mine might probably be Secret of Evermore, Ive got a heap of semi-rare titles but SoE is probably the most desired of the lot

Uhh... don't really think I have any. Maybe PSO ep 1 and 2 for GC? Only ever seen 1 copy of it, and that was the one I bought.

Not sure if PSO is that rare, easily imported

I don't think many of my games are particularly rare, even the limited edition titles like the Gamecube Zelda Collector's Edition and Windwaker/OoT + Master Quest are common amongst Cube owners.

I'd probably have to say that my Game & Watch titles are rarest of my collection especailly:
Mario's Cement Factory (Tabletop)
Balloon Flight (Crystal Screen)

i have an official sony promo copy of manhunt... you could not buy it, it was only for video game shops...

a mate of mine owns a video game shop and gave it to me for my birthday :) he knows i love the ultra violent games and that i am looking forward to manhunt 2 on wii...

i hope manhunt 2 gets classified here, and nothing is cut off or changed, but that is off topic.

I have both too. Not too rare, but apparently the blue cover for the original was hard to find? I think I have the Pink one.
I haven't even played VJ2, but when I saw a 2nd hand copy at EB for $12.50, I snapped it up. (It was marked $25 with a 50% off sticker on it)

Secret of Mana, Paper Mario 64, Final Fantasy Adventure (the original GB version), the Zelda collectors discs, PSO 1&2 GC.

And probably a pile of others that are semi-rare/I don't know the rarity of.

Gran Turismo 4 Limited Edition, only sent out to press etc.

Contains a hard cover illustrated book, press disc, game, limited edition certificate.... errr some other stuff.

4000 made, mine is number 0142.

I don't really think it's that rare, but mine would probably be Ico on PS2 and the Original Print version of Shadow of the Colossus which is in cardboard and has 4 postcards :)

I forgot to mention I have a copy of Battle Realms and its expansion. The original release in their boxes. Would be more valuable if it wasnt for the rerelease budget version. Even still, you cant get the expansion legitimately

I have gold carts of Zelda and Zelda II on NES as well.
But I don't imagine they're hugely rare.

With EB halting pre-orders on Bioshock I think Bioshock CE might be the rarest game I'll own! ;D hehe!

I honestly do not know.  I quite a few of the games already mentioned, others I have not even heard of! that's rare! :)

I do have 4 copies of ICO, if that counts?  one of each version open (the collectors and the standard) and two factory sealed Collectors.

For me, Its not a game, its actually the Unofficial Strategy Guide for Final Fantasy 7, its popularity came from it being way better then the official guide.
I dont have a publisher name with me atm.

A sealed copy would have to be at least a virgin sacrifice. Doesn't matter to which dark god it goes to, but we need more virgin sacrifices!

Also have Final Fantasy X 2 disc special edition, don't know if thats rare, but mine copy is the only one I've seen.

heh. I have Project Zero and PZ2 on X-Box. note those are the special editions with the extra content.  I also own the 2disk FFX.  :)

I was quite annoyed when PZ3 was released ONLY on PS2.  I did end up getting it, and then later found a copy of PZ on PS2 in a K-Mart clearance bin so picked that up.  So basically I have all three games, just not on the same console.  If I ever see PZ2 on PS2 I just might buy it just for completion sake, but as the X-Box vrsions are better with more content for 1+2, I am not gonna lose any sleep over it.

Another game I have that was hard to find is Psychonauts

Ive actually seen lots of copies of Psychonauts lately actually. Probably wont last long, I think there was a surge when gamers sold their collections for the new generation.

I think my NTSC copy of MGS3 Subsistence is pretty rare. It cost me a pretty penny and was close to impossible to find.

Yeah I picked up Psychonaughts the other day pre-owned on xbox.  I have had a copy on PS2 for aaages, but I like my xbos more so snatched that up. It was only about $9 or so I think afterthe EB discounts had all been taken off, and you could barely tell it was even played so, score.

As for MGS3S, was there a difference between your copy and the normal copies, cos I am not too sure that was ever all that rare.  They were selling it for years on PlayAsia, but it stopped when the New complete set came out.  Strangely enough, that new complete set has all three "director's Cut Collector's Editions" all packaged in there, and it is cheaper than any one of them wver was on its own.  I am actually tempted to get it even tho I already have the Collectors edition of all three games, simply cos I like complete collections like that, and the new packaging etc looks really pretty cool.  heh.  I a ma sad, sad collector. lol :)

Ok, here is one that I think might be actaully rare.

Musashi: Samurai Legend

there was actually a few games in the Musashi series. As far as I know only Samurai Legend and Brave Fencer were englished (new word of the day).  I love the Cell Shading in Samurai Legend.  The humor in those games is spot on.  Always a giggle to play.

Yes its great, but it is rare, cause I've only seen it once, snapped it up straight away, especially when i saw it was a Square Enix game and it was action battle based.

Probably mine must be my Final Fantasy VII PC edition, its worth like $80 on ebay ::), also i haven't found any copies in australia yet...

I've seen a copy at a GameTraders I was at.
They were asking $100 for it!
But keeping in mind that this is the same store asking $50-%60 for a Budget range copy of Daikatana...

I've seen copies of FF7 and FF8 on PC in Dungeon Crawl (located in the Melbourne CBD) and although I can't tell you the exact price, they were not charging $80 for the game. Anyways, I'm happy with my PS1 versions, even if I don't have the instruction manual for FF7 to make the box complete.

I guess ebay must of been short of some... lol doesn't matter
