I know you see those post that say call of duty for $50 in someplace well what i do is just go into eb games and ask for a price match. Also don't pre-order games i bought call of duty and halo 3 for $80 on the first day they were realesed from eb games and my friend bought both those games from the same eb games for $110 Also the guy which i got a price match for didn't even check also the price in the catolouge wasn't for another week or two this technique works best when you don't want to go half an hour to the nearest jb-hi-fi instead goto the eb games close by this works with other shops but im not sure also so offer like ten percent off some other stores advertised price
Dont critise my post if u know already because some people dont

Some times you cannot avoid preordering. For example if you wanted the Legendary Edition of Halo 3. Also, if you preorder at EB and there is a place with a cheaper price then you can get the game at the cheaper price so there is no loss there either.

Yeah, pre-order + price match + 7 days return really works very well. I got limited edition of Assassin's creed for 84 at Eb, priced match BIG W.

There's a few things to know about EB Price match however. They only match other retail shops in the local area. So no online quotes will be accepted.

This is true... but it's still great. I had them match the Target $64 on Fifa 08 for x360. I just downloaded the jpeg onto my phone and showed them there.

Nice, I've never tried that. Knowing my EB they might just do it.

It was nice and simple. It just occured to me that it could open up a realm of photoshop possibilities

I really dont see the point of price matching, IMO it would be much better if EB beat the price. They will only price match the game if the other retailer has it in stock! so why go through the hassle of showing them the catalog, waiting for them to call the retailer to see if they have it in stock? its a stupid policy

EB Games has the best return policy and depending on the store, know a little something about games. I always price match at EB for hardware incase of hardware failure. Games not so much, since they either work or dont and I never need any 'change of mind' decisions because I always investigate first - except for DOAX2 *shudder. Thank goodness GAME have a very similar return policy.

I did a similar thing back in the day, back when I pre ordered Guitar Hero 1 (thats right, before the series was popular) and EB had a sticker price of $150 on the box. I printed out the page from Sony's website showing the rrp being $130 and they corrected it on launch day for me.
