Hey, does anybody know where to get a Wii Zapper (w/ Links Crossbow Training) for anything below the $50 rrp?

The best I can find online is around $43 from DVD Crave, but once you add on shipping  (express or registered, i dont really trust aust post) its pretty much RRP anyway.

I don't think I've seen it below $45 from memory though so I might be out of luck.

Just to resurrect this thread, I'm liking my Zapper. It makes it a much more enjoyable experience to play RE: Umbrella Chronicles.

I have not even taken my Zapper out of the box. To me it was just a pack in that came with Links Crossbow Training.  I was fortnate enough to pick this up during the Target sale last week so nly paid about $43.  I do not see the point in the zapper tbo.  The game plays exactly the same without it, and you do not have to take the glove and wrist strap off, then put them back on again once you have finished playing.

I fully intend on picking up RE4 (even tho I have it on PS3 and GC), RE:UC, and HotD2&3R, but I can not ever see myself bothering using the Zapper for any of them.

Does the Wii Zapper really make shooting easier? And does it work smoothly in other games? I really hated using the Wii remote + nunchuk setup in RE4 - it felt like I was using a TV remote against a horde of zombies.

...which is partly true...

The Zapper makes Umbrella Chronicles much better IMO.
Easier to fire quickly, and yeah, makes it feel like a gun rather than pointing a remote at zombies.

I preferred it for Crossbow Training too.

But I;d leave it out of Resident Evil 4, you need quick access to the face buttons.

I picked up the Wii Zapper today for $42.45 at EB Games using the 15% webmail voucher. I tried going to a few Target stores but they said they no longer stocked it. I also went to Toys'R'Us when the had a 20% voucher going, but all 3 stores I called conveniently had no stock.

I find the Wii Zapper that came with Links Crossbow training gives my hand cramps.

I find the cheapy one I got with Ghost Squad is much more comfortable.

I personally hate the design of the Nintendo Wii Zapper, and I'm waiting for the Nyko Perfect Shot to arrive in Aussie stores (better trigger, still allows for nunchuck gestures, looks cooler) then maybe I'll consider picking up games like Ghost Squad and House of the Dead 2+3

If HotDr and GS are anything like Link's Crossbow Training (and considering they are "gun" games,  Ifully expect they are) then there is no need for any gun of any description.  I honestly find the easiest way to play is with just the WiiMote+Nunchuck.  All these add on things are essentially useless.  Most of them hinder more than help. Not worth the hastle IMO.

If you are like me and just after the Xapper for the pack in game, I would suggest re-thinking.  Link's Crossbow Training is pretty cool, but it is no where near as cool as it could, and should have been.  Considering it is built in the TP engine, the whole thing plays like something that should have been included as an extra in TP.  Paying $50 for something that should have been part of TP seems a tad overpriced to me, and considering the Zapper is, unfortunately, rather ****, the Game is really the only reason to buy it at all.

I recommend waiting until it starts falling into bargain bins for $30 or less if you are a Zelda fan only. Everyone else can very easily skip the whole thing completely. You will be better off spending the money elsewhere.

I don't have a Wii Zapper, but i've got the gun you get with Ghost Squad (but mine came with HotD2&3R), and it's horrible. Can't get easy access to the B button and can't hide the wires from the nunchuck (unless i'm doing it wrong?). the only thing that's nice about it is that it's free, and there's a laser pointer in it.
