Reader sagara0510 submitted a very helpful hint for those with problems obtaining the Metal Gear Solid 4 Playstation 3 bundle for $749. EB Games currently have a PS3 bundle that includes Assassin's Creed, Need For Speed ProStreet and HDMI cables for the same price. After buying that deal you can then trade in both Assassin's Creed and Need For Speed at JB Hi-Fi to get Metal Gear Solid 4 for free. With this method you also end up with a bonus set of HDMI cables.
Special thanks to sagara0510 for the submission.

Here's a round up of prices for the new FF7 on PSP. The article will be updated as new information becomes available.
Price List
- JB Hi-Fi - $59
- Kmart - $59.95
- Big W - $65.57
- Dick Smith Electronics - $65.76
- EB Games - $69.95

Trade In Deals
- EB Games - Trade 4 PSP games get Crisis Core and art book free
- EB Games - Trade 3 PSP games and PSP console get Crisis Core bundle for $149
You should be able to get Crisis Core for only $40 and possibly even $20 if you take advantage of the EB trade in deal. Apparently there is no exclusion list but you should always double check before purchasing any trade bait.
Using copies of the various "Password To" titles at $5 to get it Crisis Core for $20. Even cheaper if you own an Edge card, which only costs $10. Here are some games you could use:
- Passport To Amsterdam - $4.95 preoned or $4.97 new
- Passport To Barcelona - $4.95 preoned or $4.97 new
- Passport To London - $4.95 preoned or $4.97 new
- Passport To Paris - $4.95 preoned or $4.97 new
- Passport To Rome - $4.95 preoned or $4.97 new

- Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition - $8.97 preowned
Alternatively Dick Smith Electronics and Power House stores are selling off plenty of PSP stock at $10. Click here to check it out.
A lucky few might live near a Domayne store pawning off massive amounts of unpopular PSP games, prices starting at $2. Prices vary between stores though, good luck with that one.

Dick Smith Power House

There has been some confusion and mixed results with the really good Dick Smith sale. It appears that different stores are doing vastly different things. Some stores have prices that properly reflect the $10 games found on the website and others do not, some Power House stores are still doing the 30% off others are not. This is probably because of the confusion around the sale supposedly been for the last long weekend as opposed to a financial year sale.
If you are after cheap games you simply need to investigate it yourself. People are still successfully getting games like Ninja Gaiden 2 for $20-30 by trading in these games at GAME, JB Hi-Fi and EB Games. Check the exclusion lists, search the DSE website and check the stores you intend on trading at because its still possible. Also, if you see Hotel Dusk lying around as a part of the $10 sale I WILL BUY IT FROM YOU :D

It's getting close to the anticipated launch of Metal Gear Solid 4 and there still seems to be very little advertisement. The game launches June 12th and this article will continued to be updated with the latest information. Although it doesn't appear there will be a price battle over this AAA release.
Price List
- Kmart - $94
- Big W - $94.84
- JB Hi-Fi - $99
- Gametraders - $99.95
- Target - $99.95
- Toys 'R' Us - $99.99
- GAME - $119.95 preorder for bonus DVD
- EB Games - $119.95 preorder for bonus poster
- Harvey Norman - $119.95
Trade In Deals
- JB Hi-Fi - Trade 2 PS3 games get MGS4 free (exclusion list)
- GAME - Trade 3 PS3 games get MGS4 free (exclusion list)
- EB Games - Trade 3 PS3 games get MGS4 free
It is best to take advantage of JB Hi-Fi's trade in deal because it requires one less game. You can get MGS4 for roughly $70 if you buy two of the following games from EB Games preowned:
- Blazing Angels - $34.92
- Warhawk - $34.91
- Lost - $37.47
- Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End - $34.92
- Surf's Up - $34.91
Special thanks to hazamatic and toddhunter for the Big W price.
