The sale appears to be over. The product page is back up with the old $529 price. You might be able to score it for $264.50, but you'll be hard pressed to even find one left.
It appears the website is slow and the product page has been removed. Ring your local stores (primarily Power House) to check that they will honour the price for product number YG1172. Screenshot here.
In what can only be explained as an effort to sell off unwanted stock Dick Smith Electronics and Power House stores are selling the Halo edition Xbox 360, which is essentially a Pro console for $264.50 which is close to the price of an Arcade console. Plenty of stores still have stock, but expect these babies to begin flying off the shelves soon.

i see. funny that. i went to a regular dick smith store and in vic there were a few stores with stock. non hade more than 3. only one had 3 listed.
when i called one of the stores the guy said "all the ones listed on the computer are defective" |

yeah, the shop i went into admitted that their staff had bought the entire stock at 9am this morning, and who could blame them!
if i'd walked in and there was >1 there i would have bought them and sent them straight on ebay to pay for a year of games! |

I know from experience that you can still manage to score stock that is apparently sold out. You need to be very lucky though. |

Thanks Juicy Juice, I gave them a call and they do have one but another variation on the 'it's borked(broken), and opened and missing a controller' story a few of us have been getting.
Looks like I'll have to settle for a $278 arcade tomorrow from BigW! |

So I just managed to get 2 of them from Erina Powerhouse and my friend got one too. Thank goodness they honoured their web price since I put them on hold yesterday arvo. Thank you Ecogamer!  |

Tried getting one yesterday. Found 1 store that had one in stock .
Told me if you want it for the price listed yesterday then its not going to happen. It was a mistake on the website, and those that got it while it was advertised were lucky but the add is down now and we will not match the price as it is no longer advertised for that price.
Bummer. Wanted one Bad. |
