The sale appears to be over. The product page is back up with the old $529 price. You might be able to score it for $264.50, but you'll be hard pressed to even find one left. It appears the website is slow and the product page has been removed. Ring your local stores (primarily Power House) to check that they will honour the price for product number YG1172. Screenshot here. In what can only be explained as an effort to sell off unwanted stock Dick Smith Electronics and Power House stores are selling the Halo edition Xbox 360, which is essentially a Pro console for $264.50 which is close to the price of an Arcade console. Plenty of stores still have stock, but expect these babies to begin flying off the shelves soon.

- Pete : A better way for the stores to operate would be to mark DOWN the price of the game being purchased rather than marking UP the trade in values. There's probably some accouning reason they don't do this.
- Neo : gratz if you guys succeed but i\'m usually against things like this, i mean the returns are usually goodwill that stores allow for customers that genuinely dislike their brought product and not for people to take advantage of, if you guys get banned i do believe you brought it on yourself
- bambam : It's funny seeing everyone doing this trade deal now at JB. Expect JB to ban you returning it soon. I got around $800 credit from them doing it over the last year. Turned EB credit into JB credit :)

I rang my local store and they had one left. Held it for me and I just picked it up. Even the guy selling it was shocked at the price :).
when i called one of the stores the guy said "all the ones listed on the computer are defective"

if i'd walked in and there was >1 there i would have bought them and sent them straight on ebay to pay for a year of games!
Looks like I'll have to settle for a $278 arcade tomorrow from BigW!
Told me if you want it for the price listed yesterday then its not going to happen. It was a mistake on the website, and those that got it while it was advertised were lucky but the add is down now and we will not match the price as it is no longer advertised for that price.
Bummer. Wanted one Bad.
